Terracotta is one of the trendy colours to give to your bedroom. It gives your bedroom a cosy and inviting look. ## ** Why choose terracotta in the bedroom?** Terracotta suits many styles: classic, Mediterranean, ethnic, contemporary, or even bohemian interiors. Terracotta easily comes into its own in any bedroom: - on a wall to create depth - on a piece of wall to create a headboard, or demarcate the sleeping area - with small accent elements such as bedding, picture frames, vases, etc. Terracotta is naturally a warm, soft and cheerful colour. This makes it is ideal for transforming a bedroom into a soothing, comfortable, safe cocoon where you can relax after a long day. Terracotta is the Italian word for ‘baked earth’ and is a general name for reddish-brown pottery. This colour is also found in Mediterranean and South African pottery. With terracotta, you create an atmosphere that invites daydreaming and travelling. And what could be more delightful than a bedroom where you can completely unwind? ## **What colours can you combine terracotta with in a bedroom?** Since terracotta is a mixture of different shades of red, pink and orange, which are uplifting and stimulating colours, it is important to soften with plenty of white so that the bedroom remains a place of tranquility. Light seasonal shades like beige and powder pink, as well as cosy colours like burgundy, brown and greyish or strong yellow, are great for the bedroom as they enhance the pleasant character of terracotta. Do you prefer some contrast?
