Of course, you want your mirrors to get as much sunlight as possible and spread a lot of daylight, so hang them close to windows. **Choose the right colours:** using light and neutral shades (such as beige, light grey, white, off-white and so on) will accentuate the dark floor and give the room depth and light. That's the secret to a contemporary and elegant living room. Bright and vibrant colours on a wall surface or in decorative objects contrast beautifully with a dark floor. This gives you a playful and contemporary effect. For example, teal and fuchsia make a great duo, while sunny mustard yellow magically lights up the room.
