Det finnes mange muligheter – noen mer klassiske, andre mer karakterfulle. Fiskebensmønster og ungarsk punkt er to populære valg som ofte forveksles. Men hva er egentlig forskjellen?  ## Ligner, men er ikke identiske Å forveksle fiskebensmønster med ungarsk punkt er helt normalt. De ligner jo litt på hverandre. Begge er brutt sikksakkmønstre som tiltrekker seg oppmerksomhet. Den korte enden av én planke møter langsiden på den neste, slik at mønsteret minner om et fiskebein – derav navnet. Resultatet er et tidløst og stilfullt gulv som gir rommet karakter.  ## Ungarsk punkt I et mønster med ungarsk punkt er plankene skråskåret i den korte enden. Plankene legges deretter i en vinkel på 45 eller 50 grader. Dette skaper en rett fuge i mønsteret, som gir et mer symmetrisk uttrykk enn fiskebensmønster. . Valget handler først og fremst om hvilket uttrykk du ønsker. Ungarsk punkt kommer ofte best til sin rett i større rom og gir et mer symmetrisk uttrykk, mens fiskebensmønster er et tidløst valg som passer i de fleste rom.
