Are you planning to install a new floor? Then the search begins. You know parquet, laminate and vinyl floors. And you may have already heard of high pressure floors. But did you know there’s another type of wooden floor that’s highly suitable for families and commercial projects alike? We’re talking about veneer parquet or strong wood floors. They combine the natural charm of real oak wood with unseen strength and scratch resistance.
Strong floor
Strong wood floors are made from real oak wood, straight from nature. This type of floor guarantees that warm feeling under your feet and that natural look in your interior.
You might think: but I already get that with parquet, right? Indeed. But we understand you might prefer not to choose parquet if you have children or pets, or simply fear damaging your floor by dropping things or moving furniture around a lot. Well, that’s exactly why veneer parquet, or strong wood floors, are the ideal solution.
The wood – the top layer – is treated during production to withstand impact. Literally. For example, the top layer of BerryAlloc’s strong wood floors is finished with Ultimtec: a special solvent-free lacquer that protects the wood long-term against scratches and dirt. The core of the floor is also made using high-quality techniques. All of this makes the floor extremely strong. Veneer parquet is therefore ten times more shock-resistant than traditional parquet.

Easy-to-install floor
But veneer parquet doesn’t just excel in strength. Installation is also incredibly smooth, as with BerryAlloc’s strong wood floors. Thanks to the construction and the handy Best Loc X-Treme click system, you don’t need glue or tools. You simply click the planks together.
Also good to know: strong wood floors are available in very large plank sizes (210 x 2200 mm). That often makes installation faster, the look more serene, and saves you costs.
Low-maintenance floor
Another advantage of BerryAlloc’s special Ultimtec lacquer treatment is that strong wood floors are exceptionally low-maintenance. Dirt simply can’t penetrate the surface. And you don’t need to oil or re-lacquer the floor every few years.
Time to clean your floor? First use the vacuum cleaner, then a well-wrung mop, optionally with a mild cleaning agent.
Tip! BerryAlloc Cleaner is specially developed for wooden floors like strong wood floors, taking into account the pH value. Read more about floor maintenance.
Sustainable floor
Want your new floor to leave as small an ecological footprint as possible? Then strong wood floors are also a smart choice. First of all, ten times less wood is used for the same surface area compared to traditional parquet. In addition, you get a 20-year warranty on this floor. Proof that it’s a floor that stays in top shape for decades.
Finally, strong wood floors also make an ecological difference by being made from locally sourced oak wood. No exotic trees from faraway countries requiring long transport (and thus lots of CO₂ emissions). Instead, trees grown in Europe and sourced from responsibly managed forestry, with the goal of keeping resources in perfect balance.
